August 10, 2020: After months of careful due diligence around holding our 2020 event, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion to cancel this year’s celebration of automotive and cinematic arts in Hilton Head. Although the anchoring Concours d’Elegance was previously cancelled we had plans in place to put on our event safely. A big thank you to our sponsors for their continued commitment and especially our host venue the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.
Please make plans to join us next year, November 4, 2021! Follow this space and our social channels for updates and future announcements.
THURSDAY EVENING OCTOBER 31, 2019 – ARTS CENTER OF COASTAL CAROLINA
The 2019 Vintage Auto Film Exhibition presented by MonroneyLabels.com welcomed over 200 attendees to celebrate the adrenaline and artistry that lies at the intersection of the automotive and cinematic arts!
Waving the green flag at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina the 4th annual film festival kicked off the Hilton Head Concours weekend in style.
The high-octane film festival featured the Patrick Dempsey produced documentary ‘Hurley’ about American endurance racing legend Hurley Haywood. Along for the ride was Haywood’s Brumos Porsche 917/10 courtesy of the Brumos Collection. Attendees enjoyed a Q&A with Haywood after the screening. Short films included Hagerty’s “Why I Drive”, “Phoenix Rising”, and “The Lauda Legacy”.
“This year’s festival has really raised our profile and with the support of our great sponsors we saw record attendance.” said event executive director Guy Smith. “We’re already working on our plans for 2021!”
The Vintage Auto Film Exhibition is a one-night automotive film festival. Our red-carpet reception kicks off the evening with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails (cash bar) while guests enjoy sponsor displays and an exhibit of classic and collector cars. Then a specially curated selection of auto-centric films, complimented by filmmaker Q&A’s, is the main feature of the event.
Positioned as the kick-off event to Hilton Head Concours weekend, the Vintage Auto Film Exhibition enters its fourth year with a new and larger venue, the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. >>
